Ok, fair enough. You want a single user/pass for all your services. That really isn't for the customer's benefit so much as for your own, but I'm not judging.
You said said, and I quote:

But if you never said if you don't take our data if we are not using merchant services did you. So overall the question is still left completely unanswered.
In fact, for a 100% completely acceptable answer, would be for Intuit to state unambiguously that outside of Merchant Services (whatever that definition is) Quickbook Desktop will never send a company file, in part or in whole, to Intuit (or other vender) without the express opt-in permission of the owner. Bonus points if you can actually point to a policy on the website where such a statement is made.
