Hi there, Keick.

I'm glad to see you posting here in QuickBooks Community. I'll provide additional information about the Online Intuit account and how and how your data secure Intuit.

You'll need one Intuit account for all of your Intuit activity, from QBDT, QBO, TurboTax, QBSE, etc. That said, the purpose of an Intuit account gives you the power to manage your finances across all Intuit products you use. It allows you to access all Intuit products including TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint, through a single account. For example, this means you need only one User ID and password. When you update your Intuit account information, it will be updated across all products you use so you will not need to update account information in each separate product. Intuit just keeps your data & privacy safe and you're the only one who can access and control it anytime. It's an added security to maintain the information for each product you purchase in one place at Intuit.

On the other hand, QuickBooks will send any part of the file back to Intuit if you have a merchant account. The data is sent back because we need to verify and secure your transactions for customers who use online payments. A confirmation will appear with details on how we'll keep your customer's data. If you don't have a merchant account, the data will be stored in our server with multi-layered security.

Please refer to the articles below to see more information about the Intuit account and how you can access and manage your personal data from there.

If you have any other concerns, feedback, or questions, don't hesitate and come back to the Community. I'm always here to help you. Have a great day.
