Let me share with you how do recurring transactions work in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Once you use this feature, you'll have the option to create templates for recurring transactions. The way it works depends on the type of template you're using when setting it up.

In addition, the reminders won't pop up on the QBO Home screen once the template recurs. How this feature works is slightly different with QuickBooks Desktop.
However, you can list of reminders in the View reminders section. All you have to do is to go to the Task menu and select View reminders. Using this will help you decide which ones to create or edit.
