This is not the impression we want you to have when using the product. Rest assured this is taken care of by our product developers to deliver the best experiences for all of the QuickBooks users.
This isn't just an impression. We ran analytics and whenever one is logged into Quickbooks it is sending background data to Intuit, the nature, depth, and use of which is undisclosed.
The idea users should "rest assured this is taken care of" is laughable. Intuit has, for years, been attempting to migrate desktop users to the online platform because (1) users don't own their data online and (2) Intuit has free reign to use that data.
At the beginning of this discussion Intuit asserted this was done for safety and security, but abandoned that line when users pushed back. Now we are asked by Intuit employees to simply trust all is okay and maybe, if we are very lucky, someone will fix this in a future version.
Here's the impression I want you to get: Eyerolls for every single half baked reply Intuit employees have made on this thread, not a single one of which has addressed the original issue.
