Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Dave. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. That was a brilliant move to change your Admin password. I suggest that you uninstall the LogMeIn software. Just a friendly reminder, QuickBooks doesn't do outbound calls.

 

The only time we will call you is if you request a call back to fix a situation. I encourage you to report this incident, including the caller number to our Intuit Security team.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to this link: https://security.intuit.com/.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Look for the Report technical support scams option and click on it.


If you need to reach our actual team for assistance, here's how for QuickBooks Desktop:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu, then click QuickBooks Desktop Help or press the F1 key.
  2. Hit the Contact Us button, as seen in the display.
  3. Enter a brief description of the problem.
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Choose which method you would like to connect. The options will be chat or our call back feature.
