You're right, the pay button is only available in QuickBooks Online. Once you send the invoice, your customers will only receive the Pay Online link.  Also, you'll be able to send the invoice that includes a link when your Payment account is connected. Here's how:

 

  1. Create an invoice.
  2. From the invoice, choose either Accept Credit Cards or Accept Bank Transfer.
  3. Select Save, then select Share to email the invoice to your customer. Note: Before you can send an invoice, you need to connect to your email provider in QuickBooks.
  4. Your customer will receive the email that will include a Pay Online link.
  5. From the secure payment portal, your customer can enter their credit, debit, or bank info.

 

Also, you may want to consider checking the QuickBooks Payments website for the latest processing fee rates and pricing.
