At this time, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't offer an option to disable the QuickBooks Web Connector. I'm going to submit feedback to our Product Development Team to review and consider making this an option soon.
For now, there's an option to uninstall the web connector, and here's how:
- On your keyboard, press Windows + R.
- In the Run window, enter the "control panel" and click on OK.
- Choose Uninstall a program.
- Go to Web Connector, then Uninstall. If you can't find the QuickBooks Web Connector in the control panel, delete the QBWebconnector folder in these locations:
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\ or,
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\
