Hi, VWeathers.
I appreciate you reaching us here in the QuickBooks Community. Let me help you get pointed in the right direction.
There are so many online scammers that wait for the right moment to trap you with wrong intentions. These scammers will call you and claim to be from Intuit QuickBooks. Be savvy with any information you give out over the phone.
Scammers ask clients to wire money, they will ask for your financial or personal information with the unknown message senders or phone calls. This is called 'phishing.' Eventually, these people try to trick you for stealing sensitive information, do not act unless you are sure about the authenticity of the deal.
Since the Community is a peer-to-peer forum, it would be best to reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop Support to have this investigated. Agents have the necessary tools to check your account in a secure environment.
Here's how to reach us:
- Within your QuickBooks Desktop, click Help at the top menu bar.
- Enter a brief description of your concern then click Contact Us.
- To the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have. Give a brief description of your issue and click Continue.
- We’ll provide you a few options. You choose which one is best for you.
I'm including this article for your future references: Recognize and report suspicious emails (Phishing).
Should you have additional QuickBooks concerns, please let me know. Have a good one.
