I would also recommend contacting our phone support for QuickBooks for Mac. They'll take a closer look at this to check why you're always routed to the login screen when restoring your backup file. Here's how to get our contact details:
- Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
- Select QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
- Click Company File.
- Scroll-down a little bit and click Get Phone Number.
