Other questions

We’re glad to hear that you love the Balance Forward feature, Splitmountain. Let’s work together to ensure your statement date is saved correctly for your transactions and that everything runs smoothly.

When you create a statement in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the system automatically sets the statement date to today’s date. However, if the statement date reverts to the previous month after saving, cached browser data could be causing this issue.

To resolve this, I recommend clearing your browser's cache to refresh it and eliminate any performance issues with QuickBooks. Please note that the provided hyperlink applies to global regions, but the process remains the same. You can also consider using an alternative browser to narrow down the situation.

Regarding selecting invoices to connect to the balance, QBO currently doesn't have this option. The system automatically includes all invoices, payments, and credits for the customer based on the specified date range when generating the statement.

However, you can verify which transactions are included after saving the statement. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Customer Hub and select Customer.
  2. Choose your customer from the list.
  3. Select the Statement menu.
  4. Click on the statement to check the invoices and payments included.
