If you've upgraded to a newer version of QuickBooks, you'll also need to update your company files. This only has to be done once.
Initially, you'll need to prepare the file for its update.
Here's how:
- Open your original version of QuickBooks.
- Access the company file you want to update.
- Select F2 to view your Product Information window.
- Look in the File Information section.
- Make a note of the location where you save your company file on the computer.
Next, you can begin updating your company file.
QuickBooks 2024 offers the best-in-class security to keep your data safe. After updating the file for QuickBooks 2024, you'll need to reset your passwords for all non-admin users to a temporary password. When non-admin users sign in, they'll be prompted to set up a permanent password.
After completing this process, you'll be able to open the file in your new version of QuickBooks.
If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
