I was on live support asking for assistance when I posted this message. I was told this is a known issue and is being worked on. I was given no date for completion.
FYI I was also told that the original shipping function will no longer work after the 31st for all versions of QB. Sounds like the answer you get depends on the person you talk to. Guess we all get to wait and see on Monday. While we wait to see if QB pulls off a fix in 2 days, I am writing an SOP for shipping packages via the UPS website.
