Thanks so much for the suggestion, yes we have run the rebuild several times and in fact have had our company file fixed twice by Quickbooks in the past year.  They actually said, they don't know the answer to the lot number issue other than delete the line/order and ensure the bill, assembly are all done and dated prior to the invoice and re-enter.  we've done that, it works sometimes and not others.

Which is why I reached out here.  sometimes the community has an answer that works.
