I did this and it worked! Two things to add KAVG's comments:
- make sure to restart your computer not just Quickbooks otherwise it won't do the update
- hopefully you read this before you start trying to modify your damaged reports because it will keep whatever you've saved since the update - best not to modify anything before doing the fix described by KAVG
