The option to display a column showing payments net of tax is not available when running a report, dsfsdfds. However, let me provide an alternative way to achieve your goal.

You can generate the Sales by Customer Type Detail report and then export it to Excel as a workaround. Once you have the report open in Excel, insert a new column and input a formula (Category/Product/Service amount minus Category/Product/Service tax amount) to accurately calculate the payment amount net of tax. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then type Sales by Customer Type Detail in the Search tab.

  2. Click the Columns icon, then check the Category/Product/Service Tax amount box.

  3. Click on Save.
  4. Select the More action dropdown button at the upper right corner.

  5. Choose the Export to Excel option.

Furthermore, to keep track of the monthly payment summary for each service or product, you can generate the Product/Services Summary report. Then, customize the report's period, columns, and rows on a monthly basis. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then search for Sales by Product/Services Summary report.

  2. Click on the Customize button, then set the accurate report period.

  3. Hit the Row/Columns dropdown button.

  4. In the Columns tab, choose Months.
  5. Select the Run report option.

Customizing reports is beneficial as it allows businesses to tailor the data presentation to their unique needs and preferences. I've attached this article that offers detailed instructions on how to customize reports in QuickBooks Online: Customize Report in Modern View.

You can also print reports by check number in QuickBooks Online, which may be useful for you in the future.
