I have an alternative method for bypassing the Internet Explorer installation and accessing QuickBooks Pro 2015, @eyoung.
Since June 15, 2022, Microsoft has officially discontinued support for Internet Explorer. However, if you're using Windows 7, you can still install Internet Explorer add-ons. Otherwise, it's best to switch to the Microsoft Edge browser.
To download Internet Explorer for Windows 7, please follow these steps:
- Close QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to this link: Popular Internet Explorer downloads, and select the version that suits your needs.
- Install the downloaded browser.
- Reopen QuickBooks.
If you're still having trouble, I recommend installing Microsoft Edge instead:
- Close QuickBooks Desktop.
- Download the latest version of Microsoft Edge using this link: Get started with Microsoft Edge.
- Install the browser, then reopen QuickBooks.
If you're still facing issues, consider enabling Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) to access websites or applications that require Internet Explorer:
- Open Internet Explorer and click the Ellipsis (...) icon.
- Select Settings, then Default Browser.
- Turn on the option for Microsoft Edge as your default browser, and Allow sites to reload in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode).
- When prompted, click the Restart (⥁) button, then reopen QuickBooks.
