It's great to hear that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is now working, don. I'd be glad to provide a way for you to disable the automatic updates.
Before we begin, please be aware that disabling auto-update is no longer an option for subscription-based installations. This change ensures that you remain online and up-to-date with the latest release at all times.
That said, there's a work around you can follow to disable the feature:
- In your keyboard, click the Windows key. Type and select Task Manager in the search field.
- Click More details and choose the Startup tab.
- Hover to the QuickBooks Automatic Update section.
- Right-click on your mouse and choose Disable.
Please note that because this item is located in the Startup section, it will always revert to its previous status. That said, I recommend getting in touch with your IT expert to ask for alternative ways of disabling the auto update.
Additionally, you can run reports to get a comprehensive overview of your business finances.
Let us know if you have other concerns with disabling your automatic updates in QBDT. We're here to help you in any way we can.
