I appreciate you letting us know about your experience changing your sub-customers into projects, Barbara. Allow me to share some troubleshooting regarding this matter and help you contact our support accordingly.
The Projects feature is available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Plus and Advanced plans. Please check this link for the detailed steps of the converting process: Change sub-customers into projects QuickBooks Online.
If you still encounter an issue, let's initiate some browser troubleshooting to narrow down the result. It can help us confirm data issues that affect the system's performance. To start, kindly open your account in an incognito session:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
From there, change your sub-customers into projects, and if you can successfully do so, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies. It removes excessive data-build up, allowing the program to regain full functionality. You can also consider using another supported browser if the problem prevails.
Meanwhile, you can contact our support team by following the steps from this article: QuickBooks Online Support. Please know that our support's availability varies by subscription. Checking it ensures you can connect with them seamlessly:
- QBO Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus plans - support is available from 6 AM to 6 PM PT during weekdays and 6 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays.
- QBO Advanced - support is available 24/7.
For future use, I'm attaching this article so you can gather more insights about handling your projects accordingly in the program: Create and manage projects in QuickBooks Online.
