Thanks for your efforts in performing the steps provided by my colleague, Areaman. I'll share some information on why you have no option to add Explorer to your desktop.
Although Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer (IE), it's still required for QuickBooks to properly function. Ensure that your QBDT is updated to the latest release.
If you're using Windows 10 or 11, here's how to enable IE in Microsoft Edge.
- Open Microsoft Edge, then click the Settings and more icon.
- Select Default browser.
- Under Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode), choose “Allow” to enable IE mode.
- Once done, click Restart to restart your browser for this setting change to take effect.
If the issue persists, I'd suggest reaching out to Microsoft Support.
