Thanks for taking the time to write your experience, @RC125. I'll be sharing a few things to get this sorted out and address your concerns regarding the recent changes to the invoice and estimate layout in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Please know that customers and accountants were notified via email 45, 30, and seven days prior to the transition. Rest assured, we'll continue sending out emails regarding product updates. Alternatively, you can sign up for our QuickBooks Newsletter to track the latest trends.
To resolve the issue regarding the tax checkbox, PDF and email view, and the taxable (T) status showing in every line item, we can troubleshoot your browser to clear the outdated cache. First, open your account in an incognito window. Please see the keyboard shortcuts provided below.
- For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
- For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
- For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N
Once resolved, you can return to your original browser to clear its cache or utilize another compatible one. It could be a temporary issue between QBO and the window you're using.
We acknowledge your feedback regarding the blank line item not showing in the PDF output, as well as the tax subtotals. Don't worry. We value your input and take it seriously in our continuous efforts to improve the platform. That said, I'll help you share your valuable insights with your software engineers so they can look into it and consider your suggestions in our future product enhancements. To do that:
- Go to the + New and select Invoice.
- Click Feedback.
- Enter your request, then Submit Feedback.
Moreover, it's important to record payments received from an invoice to maintain the accuracy of your books.
Keep me updated on your concerns regarding the new invoice and estimate layout in QBO. We're here to listen and ensure your queries are properly handled. Stay safe.
