Did they use logmein rescue ? That is a legit site the scammer used. I actually got a trial of that software to test. They can't access your files with the file manager without the Windows login and password. So if you didn't provide that then it seems they couldn't get your files.
Did you get the link from an Intuit support person like we did ? I have evidence my partner was sent to the scam site from an Intuit support person who called after she clicked the get help link in QuickBooks, and the call is from the official my number.
