Once you've selected and purchased the right product that suits you, you can start the upgrade process. Here's how:
- Select Upgrade Now when you're ready.
- Choose Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QBDT version.
- Select Let’s go. QB will download, install, and activate the new version for you. It will also update your company file(s).
- Once completed, click Open QuickBooks.
It's important to note that the process may take some time. It relies on your internet speed and the size of your company file(s).
If you can't see a prompt to upgrade your QBDT subscription, you can use the Discovery Hub by following these steps:
- Open the Discovery Hub and choose Upgrade to QuickBooks 2024.
- Select Proceed to upgrade and click Upgrade now.
- To retain both versions, select Keep old version on my computer. Otherwise, you can leave it blank.
- Once finished, click Open QuickBooks.
