We don't want you to have this kind of experience. Allow me to route you to the appropriate support.
To begin with, please know that since 2022, QuickBooks Desktop has moved to a subscription-based model in which you'll need to renew your subscription annually to continue using the application.
Since you're prompted to renew your subscription even if you've purchased one, we can log in to your CAMPs and see if your subscription is active, as suggested by 4Gal above.
Here's how:
- Go to camps.intuit.com
- Sign in with your Intuit Account info.
- If you see multiple products, select QuickBooks Desktop to go to CAMPs.
Moreover, you can check out this article for further reference on how and what you can do in CAMPs: Change, manage, or update your Intuit account with CAMPs.
Once confirmed that your account is active and the error still occurs, you can contact our QuickBooks Desktop support, for they have the necessary tools to check and resolve this.
Here's how to contact QuickBooks Support for Windows:
- Open QuickBooks.
- Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
- Select Contact Us.
- Give a brief description of your issue, then click Continue.
- Sign in to your Intuit account, select Continue, and then Continue with my account.
- We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue.
- Select to chat with us or Have us call you.
If you need prompt assistance, you can contact them through their contact number: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
Lastly, I've added this article to help you learn how to update your QuickBooks license and product info: Change a QuickBooks Desktop license number or product code.
Let me know if you need assistance renewing your subscription or have any QuickBooks-related concerns. I'll be glad to assist you. Stay safe.
