Greetings, tfs11. I can see some of your users are experiencing issues related to sales tax calculations and settings in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Since your other employees or users don't have any issues, one of the reasons for this error may relate to the user access. You might want to delete and re-add them again to rectify the issue.
Here's how:
- Log in to your account on a web browser.
- Go to Settings ⚙, then select Manage Users.
- Select the ellipsis icon on the user you want to delete, then select Delete.
- Choose the Delete User from the pop-up window to confirm.
Next, follow the steps below on how to add users.
- Select Settings ⚙, then select Manage Users.
- Select Add User, then enter the user’s name and email address.
- Note: Special characters aren’t allowed other than a period on the user’s name. For the email field, you can use a period and the @ character.
- Select the Roles ▼ dropdown, then select the role you want to assign to the user.
- Review the features this role gives access to. You can expand each section.
- Select the Account management settings you want to manage (if applicable for the chosen role).
- Select Send invitation.
After that, go back to your mobile app, try to create an invoice, and verify the sales tax issue with tax rates appearing correctly.
If the error is still persistent, refresh your data and try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, ensure that updated security settings are downloaded, and explore enabling taxes in the account settings to resolve the problem.
Additionally, users can seek guidance from our QuickBooks Online Support team to find other solutions to similar cases with sales tax calculations in QBO.
You can still return to this thread if you have extra worries with your invoices on mobile. I'll be here to handle them at any moment.
