Yes. You can export the QuickBooks Premier Desktop 2012 to QuickBooks Online using an online tool. The QuickBooks Online plan you select should be based on your business needs. I recommend visiting our website to review the available features that are essential for your business.
Here's how to migrate your data:
- Make sure you already have a QBO account and have already saved a backup copy of your data in QBDT.
- Open QuickBooks Pro/Premier online tool.
- Select Get Started, then sign in with your Intuit Account.
- Upload your company file.
- Once your file is uploaded, we’ll auto-update it to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop. Next, you'll see an option to move to QuickBooks Online.
When it comes to exporting data from two branch offices, it's important to note that you can only transfer data from one company file to QBO. If you want to add data that are coming from another company file, you can manually export the data from QuickBooks Desktop and manually import them to your QBO. If there isn't a direct option to transfer it to QuickBooks, you can use a third-party application to complete the process.
On the other hand, you can track them separately by creating two QuickBooks Online companies. You can create a new one under the same email address.
When you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, you may notice differences in how your books appear. Check this article for more information: Features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
