I’m not sure what you mean by “not currently unavailable.” Seems to be a response with double negatives.
I HAVE sent the same issue from the Help:Feedback Menu setting..
The fact that both options for Export as CVS and Import as CVS exist within QBDT MAC, but that the Text File Fields neither match in Field Names, and that the Import format has over twice the number of Fields as the Export format for the exact same Company file is extaordinary.
This type of feature is standard fare for Database apps like FileMaker, for setting up Merge Files in MS Word and for transferring data in and out of MS Outlook. It is not that complicated.
The fact that QB, which is essentially a database style app, would screw up this generic form of data transfer which has existed in software for over 30 years is beyond belief.
And Yes, I have given up on “saving time” through the export/import attempt and just re-entered all the same transactions manually. My biggest regret is wasting nearly two hours looking for QB instruction online, finding the right info for QBDT Mac and trying several times to get the import/export to work.
