Other questions

I appreciate you getting back on this thread, NewToThis23. I'm here to share some details about what causes the problem.

The QuickBooks Online (QBO) desktop application for Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus plans was discontinued last April 20, 2021. It is the reason why the program keeps on crashing on your computer. At this time, the program is only available to Advanced and Accountant users. We've launched this to provide more innovative accessibility and streamline workflows.

As a workaround, I recommend accessing your QBO Plus account via supported browsers. Doing so helps you have a better experience while working on your books anytime, anywhere. You can click this link to sign in: https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage.

Alternatively, you may want to consider upgrading your subscription to Advanced. This way, you can utilize the desktop app. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or company admin.
  2. Go to Settings and select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Make sure your payment info is up to date.
  4. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade your plan.
  5. Review the available plans and then select Choose plan.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to upgrade your plan.

Please feel free to keep me posted anytime if you require further assistance with QuickBooks Online. My goal is to ensure that you always achieve your desired outcomes with bookkeeping. Take care and stay safe!
