Two separate times I was on the phone for hours and I really thought they almost got it. Like kind of said something mildly intelligent. But then all of a sudden their brains quit working and they asked "what is the problem" Just use an EIN, because that's what is supposed to go there. I have never dealt with any people this dumb in my life. Much less representatives of a major tax software firm.
