MY 1099'S FROM SEVERAL DAYS AGO WERE REJECTED BY THE IRS TODAY FOR INCORRECT FORMATTING... it appears the software is formatting SSN's on 1099's as EIN's this year, in the PAYERS TIN box. The RECIPIENT TIN box is working fine. It's correct in my profile and I don't see a way to change the format on the resulting 1099 when I'm trying to resubmit? Unless there's been a change that we're required to use EIN's, this is glitch. It has worked just fine in past years.
