I understand what you feel, @PAT0511.

Let me provide you with some insights about this discontinuation policy in QuickBooks Desktop for the 2021 version.

You won't have access to live technical assistance or any other Intuit services that can be connected with QuickBooks Desktop if you don't upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop 2021 before May 31, 2024. Thus, we recommend switching to QuickBooks Online so you won't have interruptions and keep getting security updates and features.

Since Scan Manager isn't compatible with QBDT 2022 or newer versions, you'll want to consider using a third-party app to find applications that fit your needs. I'll show you how:

  1. Visit this site https://desktop.apps.com/home.
  2. From the search tab, enter and look for an app.
  3. Select the app in the list.

This article can give you more information about the service discontinuation: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.

Also, I'll be adding this great resource to know how your books moved when migrating from QBDT to QBO: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance with managing subscriptions or if there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.
