You must register on the IRS IRIS site to be able to efile 1099's with the IRS. I have contacted QB numerous times since September to find out if they will have a template in the .csv format that IRIS requires. No one seems to know what IRIS is. They just refer me to TAX1099. I used TAX 1099 in 2020. I had to correct ALL of my 1099's. They pulled old information (like mailing addresses) and had numerous mistakes that were difficult to correct in their system. Then we paid for them to file them!
