Let me help you with your managing your clients with your accounting firm, pennywise77.

We'll need to subscribe first to QuickBooks Online Accountant where we can sign up for free. Just visit this link for more details: Intuit QuickBooks. Then, you can migrate the data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online Accountant: Import QuickBooks Desktop data into QuickBooks Online Accountant. You can also read more details about the migration here: Learn How Features and Data Move From QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can start adding your clients who already have QuickBooks Online or Self-Employed. Just ask them to invite you to become their accountant:

  1. Ask your client to send the invite to the email address you use for your QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
  4. If you have multiple QuickBooks Online Accounting firms, select the one you want to connect your client to.

When accepting the invite, QuickBooks connects their accounts to your firm and adds them to your client list. You can now review and make edits to their books. If you can't connect, here's what to do if you can't accept their invitation. For other options on how to add clients, you can refer to this article: Add clients to QuickBooks Online Accountant
