To successfully remove the sales tax tab on your packing slip in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you have to ensure that it is turned off on your Company preferences. To do that, I'll leave the steps below that you could follow.
- On your QBDT account, click Edit.
- Then select Preferences, then choose Sales Tax.
- Click Company Preferences.
- Choosing No on charging sales tax will completely remove the tab on your packing slip.
If you already have performed the following steps above. I suggest opening a sample file, turning off the sales tax, and checking your packing slip template to ensure that the sales tax tab is removed. If you have successfully removed it, go back to your original company file and verify and rebuild your data in QBDT.
