I appreciate the non-QB employees on this thread. I was fortunate enough to NOT update to Sonoma when it was first released, but can imagine the pain of those who did and were left stranded. There was some great advice on this forum...and non of it came from QB. This included:
- Download QB 2021 so you can at least open and see you QB 2019 data until the trial ends
- Create a Virtual Machine and run Ventura on this. (that was an incredibly helpful tip)
- Introducing us to free alternatives such as Wave
- And letting us know that the the newly released version of Sonoma allows QB 2019 to work once again.
I don't blame QB for not supporting QB 2019...but I do blame the for not letting folks know that the initial version of Sonoma would brick QB 2019. I guarantee they knew it and chose not to tell us, so they could hard sell us on perpetual and pricey annual subscriptions.
