Hello, Rose.

When switching from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop, I understand that you might see some discrepancies in how your accounts are presented. Please keep in mind that when converting between QuickBooks versions, some transactions may not be moved due to export limitations.

However, there are several reasons why customer transactions may not appear in QuickBooks Desktop after migration. Here are a few possible explanations:

  1. Data Conversion Issues: During the migration process, there may have been errors or issues with converting the customer transaction data from the previous system to QuickBooks Desktop. This can result in missing or incomplete data.
  2. Incorrect Mapping: The mapping of data fields from the previous system to QuickBooks Desktop may not have been set up correctly. This can cause customer transactions to be assigned to the wrong accounts or not be imported at all.
  3. Data Filtering: It's possible that the customer transactions are present in QuickBooks Desktop but are not being displayed due to incorrect filters or settings. Double-check the filters and settings in the transaction list to ensure that all transactions are being shown.
  4. Data Corruption: In some cases, data corruption during the migration process can lead to missing customer transactions. If this is the case, you may need to restore a backup of the data before the migration and try the migration process again.

Once migration is complete, verify your info to see if it is correct. I suggest canceling your QuickBooks Online plan to avoid any unauthorized charges on your account. I found an article with the steps to cancel your subscription: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription
