The solution is very simple.
- Just rename the qbupdate.exe program to something else eg qbupdateold.exe
- Profit !!!
This program is found in this folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBUpdate
When you desire updates again, reverse the name changes.
