I understand how upsetting this could be for you, Farmers. I'll explain how to get rid of the advertising that shows up in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
You are receiving it as a result of the QuickBooks Desktop 2020 service discontinuation. I believe this is a form of promotion intended to get consumers to upgrade so they can keep enjoying QuickBooks' online services. You can click the X or No, thanks buttons as a workaround. This way, the pop-ups will keep from showing up again.
I understand that not all users are interested in the upgrade. It might happen at a future time or as necessary by the business they work for. For these reasons, I encourage you to suggest this product to our engineers so that it can be added to future updates.
Here's how:
- Go to the Help menu in your company file.
- Select Send Feedback Online and choose Product Suggestion.
- Click the Type of Feedback drop-down arrow and select Product Suggestion.
- Choose Reports in the Product Area.
- You can then add brief information in the box.
- Enter your name and e-mail address.
- Then, click the Send Feedback button.
