Thank you for your inquiry, Galin. Let me share some insights about the accounts in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Once the option to Use account numbers is enabled, the system utilizes the middle dot to separate your account number and name. If you don't want to see the dot symbol for your accounts, you can follow these steps as a workaround.
- Disable the account numbers for your accounts.
- Click on Edit, then Preferences.
- Go to the Accounting section, then Company Preferences.
- Untick the Use account numbers box.
- Hit OK.
- Modify the Account Name with the number and name using the alphanumeric/sign you want.
- Look for your account, then click on Edit.
- Input the details in the Account Name field.
- Tap on Save and Close.
Once done, revisit your Chart of Accounts to see the result.
