I appreciate you for getting back to us, @samuelpmagill.
I'll share some information about sending emails and ensure that you won't encounter the "network connection error" again.
Here are the following possible causes of connection errors:
- The QuickBooks file cannot reach the necessary ports because of the Windows firewall and other internet settings.
- There is no Network Descriptor (ND) file or it is damaged.
- A standby or hibernation mode is active on the hosting computer. This could cause your connection to drop, preventing you from accessing company files.
- Your connection to the server has been lost.
- The installation files for QuickBooks are damaged.
- There are several open QuickBooks database service windows.
- Your QuickBooks company files have been damaged.
To fix this, let’s download and run our QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Tool Hub. This program aids in correcting QBDT issues and errors. I’ll show you how:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Then, save it on your Desktop.
- Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe). Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
- When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
- From the launchpad, click Network Issues.
Please know that this will take 2-3 minutes to complete. Once done, you’ll need to restart your computer and try sending an email in QBDT again.
