I wish you didn't need to jump through all of those hoops in order to access QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @raf77. Let me make this up for you.
- Let us first turn off the internet on your computer (This will prevent the ads from trying to launch in the Left Navigation Bar).
- Open your QBDT and go to the customer file.
- Edit the QBDT User preference to turn off Left Navigation Bar.
- Turn the internet back on and use QBDT as normal with Left Navigation Bar turned off.
