Let's get this figured out so we can fix the error message you're receiving.
When you open QuickBooks, do you get the error message? If this is the case, you cannot proceed because QuickBooks tries to connect to your Internet Explorer. We can try configuring your Internet Explorer (IE) to ensure it doesn't happen again. Before we begin, make IE the default browser. Here's how it works:
First, set up your Internet Explorer to be your default browser .
Next, let's verify that your computer date and time are correct. Here's how:
- In the system tray, double-click the time display.
- In the Date and Time Settings window, verify the current date and time and modify, if necessary.
- Select Time Zone, and choose the appropriate time zone.
Then, we'll have to check the Cipher Strength. Follow the steps below:
- Open the browser, then click Command.
- Click Tools, then click Internet Options.
- Go to Programs, then click Manage add-ons.
- Tick, disable add-ons and click OK.
