Hello!  And thank for a great product that helps our small business.

I have a few suggestions that I thought maybe you might think about changing or incorporating!

Some are from desktop that were EXTREMELY helpful for us!

 

Receiving notification that an invoice was paid:

I receive an email, not sure if that is something everyone who has QuickBooks gets.  When I receive this notification it has the name and email address of the person that paid.  Which makes me have to open up invoices in QBO and then match the invoice number with the company.  I really don’t care who pays, but I would LOVE to not have to look that up.  Company name INSTEAD of payees’ email address would cut my workload…a lot!

Looking up an invoice in QBO:

Wow, took me forever to find this magic section.  From Sales, I have to click Create Invoice, start a faux invoice, then go up to the “clock” at the top left corner next to INVOICE #, click the “clock”, hover until I see Recent Invoices, scroll down to View More, click View More, and THEN I can search for an Invoice number.  Can you change that from 7 clicks to ONE.  Goodness, it is such a process. Searching by invoice number should be everywhere.

Sales Tax:

For Texas, I only need the answers to 4 questions.

  1. Total Sales
  2. Taxable Sales
  3. Taxable Amount
  4. Tax Amount

Both the Tax Return and the Liability Report DO NOT TOTAL the Columns and repeat the information in a very confusing way.  The only column that is totaled is Tax Amount.  Could you ADD totals to Total Sales, Taxable Sales and Taxable Amount?

Printing ANYTHING:

There are 4 steps to print invoices, deposit slips…everything…why? Click the print button and then I have to click print 3 more times.  Time killer.

Printing Checks and Deposit Slips:

Another mindbender.  Everything was working fine…until it wasn’t.  No matter what I do I have to hand write checks.  Deposit numbers don’t line up anymore either.  I’ve followed allll of the nonhelpful helps.  And they are always off.  I consider myself a computer literate human, it won’t work.  I’ve updated reader, uninstalled and reinstalled my printer.  Deposit slips… I have to insert a blank piece of paper to get it all on the deposit summary to print.  The font is large and won’t all fit on the summary.  Wastes paper.  UPDATE 12/12/22: Still doesn’t work, I’m hand writing checks.

Emails:

Why can’t I email invoices from MY outlook.  Often I have to attach something with an invoice.  I have to send a separate email from Outlook 365.  Why?  Why would I prefer to use QB email system, when I can’t attach or have SPELL CHECK?  I pay good money for outlook 365 and it does everything. Your system has trouble sending emails.  After I send emails through QB, I have to go to “Tasks” and see which ones, usually SEVERAL, didn’t go through and then resend from Outlook.  Time waster and inefficient. 

Thanks for listening!  Maybe if you use some of my ideas, I can get a discount, I still don’t know why I pay the extra 20 a month……on top of my subscription.
