Hello betatimer,
Let's ensure we remove and entirely uninstall QuickBooks from your PC or device.
Uninstalling QuickBooks using the control panel is the right thing to do. However, QuickBooks company is a file, and like other files on your computer, we'll have to find and remove it. We can then eliminate the other existing QuickBooks files by deleting them manually.
We can follow these steps to locate the temporary files and registry keys and delete them.
- Open the Windows Start menu
- Type File Explorer into the search and open File Explorer.
- Select My Computer or This PC from the navigation bar.
- In the search field, be sure to include the asterisk (*) before the extension type (*.qbw, *.qbb) to find all corresponding files. You may also search for *.qb for QuickBooks.
If the same thing happens, we can contact our Support Team to help us further removing the files and provide accurate information about the existence of the removal tool mentioned. Go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help F1.
Alternatively, we can use this link:
- Go to this link: Contact Support Team.
- Enter your full name and email address.
- Then, follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.
If you need more help regarding other tasks in QuickBooks Desktop, you can check our help articles: View/Browse Help articles.
Visit again if you need further assistance installing the program and resolving errors. Also, you can post your other concerns here anytime. I'll help you in any way that I can.
