When it comes to resolving file-related issues in QuickBooks Desktop, verifying and rebuilding your data is a good place to start.
To Verify Data:
- Click Window at the top menu bar, then Close All.
- From the File menu, choose Utilities.
- Tap Verify Data.
To Rebuild Data:
- Click Window at the top menu bar, then Close All.
- From the File menu, choose Utilities.
- Hit Rebuild Data.
- You will receive a warning message to backup your company file, press OK.
- Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".
