Hello San1966, let's fix the transactions category in your QuickBooks.
If the transaction is already in the register and categorized as an asset from the bank feed, we only have to undo this transaction from the Categorized section. It helps us correct the category. I'll show you how:
- Go to Banking on the left panel.
- With the Banking page, select the Categorized tab.
- Locate the transaction that you'll want to undo. It'll bring back into the For Review section.
Then, change the category to your desired account. The steps below will guide you through the process:
- Within the For Review tab, find the transaction you'll want to reclassify.
- Click the Category drop-down arrow. Then, select an account.
- Click the Add button.
