When QuickBooks crashes it usually happens right after I sign in with no visible error messages. I checked Windows event viewer which lists several errors in QuickBooks (Event ID 4 - Error).
Some of the event details:
- An unexpected error has occured in "QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022":
V32.0D R5 (M=1066, L=335, C=249, V=0 (0)) - An unexpected error has occured in "QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022":

Last week it happened 3 times in a row but I was able to log in successfully on the 4th try. Yesterday QB crashed when I switched companies (I track two company files - one for payables and receivables only and the other has the payroll feature). For the first time, yesterday QB crashed while I was doing a backup of the company file that has the payroll. When I restarted QB hung so I had to end the task. This morning QB crashed right after the home page appeared (restarted computer before starting QB). I just restarted it - so far so good.
QB is running at the moment, but unpredictable as to what will happen the next time.
