Hey there, @EllieClaireW58.
Glad you've got the 10-digit pin from the IRS. I'll help you enter it in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This way, you can file IRS tax forms.
You can set it up on your Payroll Center. Make sure to type it in correctly.
- Go to Employees and click Payroll Center.
- Select the File Forms tab.
- Pick the form that you need to file and then File Form.
- Choose the form filing period, then OK.
- Hit the Check for Errors button and fix them.
- Select the Submit Form button.
- Click the E-file button.
- Enter the 10-Digit PIN.

- Select Remember My Information for Next Time to save the new info.
- Hit Submit.
Once done, you can e-file tax forms in QBDT. You may also refer to the Federal e-file/e-pay PIN is incorrect section in this article: Handle Payroll E-file and E-pay Rejections.
I'd love to know how these steps help you enter the 10-digit pin. I want to make sure this is resolved. Let me know in the comments if you need additional assistance. Wishing you continued success!
