Thanks for getting back with the Community, PUCC_Treas. I appreciate you performing AbegailS_'s troubleshooting steps.

If you've already troubleshot with our QuickBooks File Doctor, I'd recommend suppressing your copy of QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. On your keyboard, press and hold the Ctrl key.
  2. Double-click the QuickBooks program icon.
  3. Hold your Ctrl key until a No Company Open window displays.
  4. Choose a company file.
  5. Press on hold the Alt key, then click Open.
  6. If you're prompted for account credentials, release your Alt key and enter the username and password. In the event you're not prompted to sign in, continue holding your Alt key.
  7. If you released your Alt key to sign in in step 6, press and hold it again, then select OK. Be sure to not release it until the company file's completely open.

If the error continues displaying and QuickBooks continues crashing, you'll want to try opening a sample file to identify if the problem's with your company file or with QuickBooks itself:

  1. From the No Company Open window, click Open a sample file.
  2. Select any file from your list.

In the event your sample file opens, the company file may be damaged or your folder where it's saved is damaged. In this case, you can try copying the company file to a different location.

If the error persists and you have any recent backups, try restoring to them. You can also use Auto Data Recovery (ADR) to restore your data.

In the event QuickBooks continues displaying the message and crashing, you'll want to try troubleshooting with our Quick Fix my Program utility.
