Yes, for both 2020 and 2022, these crashes are likely caused by the latest patch (R5 for 2022), which replaces IE with a home-grown browser as the embedded browser, which appears to be causing all sorts of issues from crashes to features that just don't work at all.
Intuit had over a year to make these changes, since MS announced the end of IE, but they didn't act until recently, patching all of the currently supported versions of QuickBooks at about the same time last month. It seems their new browser isn't working out well so far.
