I want to thank (?) all of the cut and paste people for their suggestions and answers that are useless.
Unless you are saying that the R5 patch is now know for causing rampant corruption, then there is another issue at fault.
I can take a clean install using a downloader with only R4 on it. I can install it to a clean system. The QuickBooks company file works fine.
I can then install R5 and go into the company file and work. I start having crashes.
I can go back to a clean OS and install with installer with R5 on it. I can take a company file and will have the crashes again.
No crashes or problems with R4. Crashes and problems with R5. Clean installs. Clean OS. Nothing different in the restored OS other than either with or without R5.
I do notice that QuickBooks is using their own version of Chromium. Is this making it incompatible now with any and all systems with Chrome installed? My test computer does have Windows 10 Pro, Chrome, and QuickBooks 2022 Premier. Not sure it is worth it for me to try and fix Intuit's problem if so.
